Bowling Green Poe Ditch Music Festival 50th Anniversary T-Shirt

On Sunday June 1st, 1975, inside the comfy confines of Bowling Green State University's Doyt Perry Stadium, the small college town nestled in the Northwest corner of the Buckeye State hosted the Poe Ditch Music Festival. The one-day event, six years after Woodstock, boasted an original lineup of ZZ Top, Hall and Oates, Marshal Tucker, Outlaws, Pure Prairie League, Styx, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Richie Havens, Montrose, Golden Earring and Johnny Winter. While ZZ Top, Hall and Oates and Tucker backed out, 25,000 presale tickets - priced between $7-$10 - were sold by the end of May. Organized by the BGSU Cultural Boost Office, later known as UAO, Poe Ditch Music Festival had help from professional concert promoters Ross Todd Productions.

It's estimated that 35,000-45,000 people attended Poe Ditch in Bowling Green and that 10,000 remained following an intense thunderstorm.
